Random Photos

Here are a couple random photos uploaded with my phone, you can tell because the quality totally blows.

Cuddles with my best friend. Apparently her best friend is her stuffed flea.

Pissed.

This is the most AMAZING jewelry holder thing I've ever found. It was at ROSS for $14!
It's about 3ft tall and can hold a butt-load of earrings. Most that you see are earrings that I've made myself. I hung the figure right above my dresser so now its a functional piece of art!

A close up. I dressed her up with a belt, and fringe on her dress with my earrings. Oh and my hair clip flower for her broach, she's so hot.

Someone's Been Busy

In between all my graphic design projects, I always find time to keep my hands busy. Yesterday
I decided to try some wire-wrapping around beads, so I made a couple of those, and was surprised at how cute they actually came out. They are wrapped around resin beads that my mom gave me, they look like tasty little gumdrops.

Omg, then I got this CrAzY idea, that since it was cooler yesterday morning...I got into the "Fall" season that is coming up..I thought I would make acorn earrings! So I took the bella monster outside to dig for old acorns by our big oak. We have 3 huuuuge live oak trees in our yard..we got lucky...but anyway, we dug around for acorns for a while and found a bunch. I drilled holes in the tops and voila! Acorn earrings! The perfect fall accessory. I plan on making a bunch of these to sell in my etsy shop.

The last picture is Bella monster's new necklace. I've been making them for me, and she suggested that I make her one too. It's just made out of felt. Dorky I know...but at least I don't dress her up. (Don't be offended if you're one of those people, I'm just not into it)

What do you think about the acorns?
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Rosettes

Here's the third style I have designed. These little rosettes are so much fun to make. Materials I used are: fabric scraps, felt, metal findings, and hot glue gun! That's it!

Now that I have three different styles down, I think I will start making some sets for Etsy to see how they do, I've been getting a lot of positive feedback from people. It might be a cute gift for Christmas too! Click twice to zoom in all the way.

Enjoy!

A Continued Adventure

I tried out a different approach on the fabric train I've been riding lately. This one was made from some scraps of fabric in my bin. I cut various sizes of circles, and then glued them onto some felt & added some embellishments & chain. Click To Zoom & Enjoy!

Blossoms From The Bosom

Etsy has been my inspiration for many projects, and this one I'm sharing today is no exception. I've done different styles of jewelry making, and got the bug to work with some lovely fabric scraps. The first image is my inspiration. The second is my version.

Awesome Right! I just love how this came out and I can't wait to make more. They are indeed time consuming so don't even think about asking for one unless you show me the money! Haha They would
make great Christmas gifts perhaps?

Want to try it out for yourself? Here's a tutorial I found to make mine: http://createanddelegate.blogspot.com/2010/04/tutorial-shabby-fabric-roses.html

Her blog is great if you're a crafty nut like me. Very inspiring!

Etsy Store Time At Petite Maison 770

Hi everyone, Well its that time again Etsy store time at my shop Petite Maison 770. I was up last night and decided to take pics and upload them to my shop (I've been waiting to do this for a couple of week, but its the same thing as you keep hitting the snooze button, good intentions). Anyway here are the good things at the shop.
One ram's head Wedgewood bowl...
One very cute pink vintage dresser set, oh did I mention very cute.....

Yellow glass sugar and creamer, Yum!!!

A 1941 oil can, come on wouldn't some roses look great in here (I know some of you love rusty crusty).

A pair of porcelain cherubs, I really had a hard time parting with these.

An Italian candleholder, even though its Italian, I still feel it could be French, or maybe even Shabby Chic....

Last but not least is a gold vintage female figure. I think she was spray painted, I can't tell exactly. She is metal and has a great French attitude.
Go check them out at http://www.etsy.com/shop/petitemaison770 and my French style pillows (more pillow styles to come soon, I know as soon as I take the pics).
See everyone next time.......

Time To Fly!

I'm leaving for the North in a couple days and am very excited! It's so great to see family and friends. Also we will be attending one of my best friends wedding..Ed & Angela.

Things That Made Me Happy Today

-Getting a haircut. A new girl "Joy" was my stylist today since my old one left. She is AMAZING! She did such a great job, I will forever be her client. This salon is super cool...it's all decked out in Rock-a-billy decor, and all the people are super cool. If I wasn't a designer I would have considered going into Cosmetology. I always love different hairstyles. Unique stuff.

-Borrowing Dustins car because its 110º outside and the air conditioning died in my car last winter. Bah. I would have melted like a record in the oven if it wasn't for him. In return, I filled his tank back up and brought him a 6-pack. It's great having best friends in the neighborhood, we help each other with favors all the time, and randomly show up when dinner is ready. haha. Love Dustin and Laura, they're good people.

-Made some paper flowers in replace of the real ones that keep dying. As much as I love creating digital art, I love working with my hands. Usually when I'm done, my hands are either covered in paint, or sticking together with glue.

-Feeling better today. I had the start of a cold on Monday, but have somehow won the battle against the boogie monster that invaded my nasal cavity.

-Made dinner with Nathan. We ate some left-overs tonight, but prepared a feast of beef stew for tomorrow night. I love slow cooker meals.

-Had time to design some Etsy Web Banners. I plan to sell these in my Etsy shop too.

-Finally...time to snuggle my best friend. Bella Monster. Love that poop machine.

Petite Maison - My Etsy Store

Hi everyone, Its been quite a week for me. So I did it, I got an Etsy store. I'm excited about it. If you are interested in visiting my seller name is petitemaison770, I plan on having a lot of fun there too. Here are three of the items I'm selling (Well truth be told they are the only items I'm selling). Three great pillow covers, they are 26 x 26, the down inserts are sold separately, or you can do your own inserts(This keeps the shipping cost down). Yes I made them with my own two hands (I did have the images put on the fabric by the printer). The images are from antique lithographs, so there is no copyright infringement(Don't you hate when you get sued.......). They are made from raw linen for more of a French flea market look. Here they are....

This one is called Louis XVI, very French ooo lala!!!

This one is French Candlestick, very dramatic.....
This one is French Seasons, fun and classic....

All of the backs are done as envelop closures.
Here they are French and fun....
BTW I'm getting more styles in, something about birds and crowns (These will be 16 x 16). So keep checking my Etsy store.
Have a good weekend.
See you all next time......
