my dream prince since i was kid

Hoh! its early in the morning during fasting month.
Since i'm single, I wanna share my thoughts about my typical dream husband. Well I never expect so perfectly about my husband will be in next 3-5 years. Whoever is him, im gonna love him sincerely. But, since i'm the one who always dreaming, it keeps me feel better to post some of my dream husband type that I've always imaginated from secondary school I think? LOL :)

I dont know since i'm in the primary school, I always like to see guy wears business suite. I dont need those who wears hotties likes weather jacket. I dont like hotties, i like cuties. :P
IT DAMN LOOKS COOL! My MAN!! XD

yeah, i love to see man plays basketball still with their business suite.
XD
it sounds interesting XD

By the way, i dont need romantic guy who always ask me to candlelight dinner or make me poem. Poems and another gold words are just BULLSHIT.

He is the one who will give me surprise on my birthday by travelling to my favorite place. Im on my journey with him to go farm or beach?
And in the end, he will make me laugh.

SAY NO TO CANDLELIGHT DINNER! I DONT LIKE IT :/ too romance.. :P

He wont angry if I stay late outside as well he is not so controlling me on everything because he knows that i'm not a kid anymore.

I think thats all. ;)
Does it sounds perfect? Haha. Every girl has her own prince in mind.

But, whatever that is, I never seek for the perfect one. Its just the time has not come yet.
Thats just a dream about 12 years old teenager about her prince. LOL

So dont think of one that I am perfectionist ya?
[Well, I am!!! Haha]

FYI, im single now and i'm happily single. :)
The one who will take me out in saturday night is my friend. No worries. No burden.

The time will comes when it comes.

Simple Sweet Rosemary Rubbed Pork

(so simple, it only needs one photograph)

Laura: an epic introduction Part 2.

Taste (like everything in a post-modern world) is really (really) subjective. When you consume a lot of food media, like Jessica and I, you need a filter to unconsciously sort all those lovely, tasty descriptors. Some words make me immediately salivate: creamy, crisp, browning, garlic-y, smokey, pulled, spice, butter, salty-sweet, braised butter and buttery will sell me before my eyes hit the actual ingredient list. Other 'headline' grabbers, well, aren't too exciting. Herbs for instance. Before I tried this Porkchop recipe I never completely bought into the 'few fresh ingredients = life-altering taste'. Usually such recipes demand a specific ingredient, market-fresh, in season, organic, and well expensive or else IT WILL NOT WORK, DON'T EVEN TRY, GO AWAY.

Now, I love the market as much as any other Western-middle-creative-class gal but fuck folks, I need to eat seven days a week. In my 'local area' Sainsbury's is posh (and even then it will run out of such things as lettuce on a regular basis). I rent an ill-equipped shared kitchen in a foreign country with a poor culinary heritage. I do not have proper anything. I need my recipes to work hard and deliver when conditions are not perfect.

(Ok so London may not be Ethiopia, but it took me four hours to find pretzels last weekend - I am only exaggerating a little bit).

Right, where were we? Oh yes. Rosemary Pork. Now you get your rosemary, pork, brown sugar, salt. Mush those things together. Grill. That is the recipe. There. I mean I will write it out with steps and things later on but that's it. Let it marinate overnight for a treat, but if you just got home from work and need something nownownow go for it. This dish is hard to make disappointing.

And the flavours? Simple, delicate and ridiculously ridiculously delicious. The sugar and salt form an addictive briney-sweet crust while the rosemary gives the whole bite a garden-fresh hit of herbs. While this fresh dish is perfect for a summer grill, its lack of truly seasonal ingredients means it brings a little backyard sunshine to the darkest winter days (unlike say, a tomato dish that just reminds you how good life is in July).

Sweet Rosemary Rub Pork
(adapted from thekitchn... I like more of a 'crust' on my chops so I doubled their rub. Feel free to adjust to your taste).

- 4 pork steaks

- 2 teaspoons olive oil for the pan
- 2 tablespoon rosemary
-
2 tablespoon brown sugar

- 3 teaspoons salt

- 1.5 teaspoon pepper
-
0.5 teaspoon cumin

Mix herbs/spices in a small separate bowl before rubbing into the pork. Let the pork sit in the rub for as long as you can stand it (overnight if you are organized). If you've left it in the fridge, take the pork out and let it warm up a piece. Cold meat + hot grill will make your dinner curl up and cook unevenly (servicey!).

Grill or cook on a grill-pan for 5 minutes a side, until cooked. Let the pork rest under foil for a few minutes then serve with pan juices or anything else that will give your pork a bit of loving.

A reminder

Alright so I should of posted this in June but, seriously folks, these are what we call Ontario strawberries.

yeah, its semester 4

Im back :)
Feel so good to back Sunway, I miss my Palmville, college, and my gang.

But sad to say this, semester 3 is far away great than now. :(
We didnt stick together anymore, every person in class slowly less and lesser.
All because of mostly repeating class, so we're not in the same class anymore.

Last last sem, we used to stick together in class, laughing and happy and become noisy in class.
But now, they spread out already. Class become 'tasteless'. :P
I miss the beginning of the whole semesters.

Mediterranean Quinoa

What are the little things we do to make ourselves feel special?  We live busy lives that are too often rushed, hurried or marred by habit.  So, we give ourselves little treats, or we adorn ourselves with little baubles to make us feel better.  An iPhone convinces us we are stylishly special, a caffe latte reminds us that at least we think we deserve a little treat.  Of course, each of these things reinforces our American life on the run: a coffee bought and drunk on the go, an iPhone checked on the way.  Alas, this is the reality of our modern life, where cooking for hours is just not an option for a late weeknight meal.  Some nights after a long day at work, cooking for more than a few minutes may not even be an option.  But yet, we still rebel, we emotionally refuse to be plain, just as much as we refuse to wash, peel, dice or sauté vegetables when we are dead tired.
What does this have to do with quinoa?  Well, who wants to eat quinoa by itself?  It’s not even a true grain, being related more closely to the tumbleweed than a cereal grass. And who wants to go to the trouble of fixing it up with diced vegetables, nuts or dried fruits when we are totally brain dead.  And yet, like the iPhone, quinoa is in style these days, as it should be.  It’s not your mother’s rice or potatoes.  It’s gluten free, a good source of fiber, high in protein, and unlike wheat or rice it contains a balanced set of essential amino acids.  So, what hurried thing can we do, what baubles can we add to our quinoa so that it is interestingly edible?  Well, that’s why God invented Rice-A-Roni for the millions of Midwestern housewives serving rice yet again.  An extra $1.39 and they have “the San Franciso treat.”  My quinoa-a-roni is in the cabinet and I am not ashamed.  This so-called Mediterranean Quinoa also has almonds, raisins, sauteed onions, and spices.  Heck, it's even kosher.  And it's always there, waiting for me when my fresh vegetable pantry is low, or my energy level is lower, but I still want to feel special by eating a fancy, stylish meal.  And, maybe next weekend, I'll slow down, take a breath, and make it the real way, but for tonight, thank you Streit's since 1925.

Ingredients:
1 tbsp olive oil
1 cup quinoa mix

Directions:
Bring 1 1/2 cups of water to a boil in a small pot.  In a medium pot over medium-high heat, warm the oil.  Add the quinoa and stir to toast for 1 minute.  Add the boiling water, stir, and reduce to a simmer.  Cook for 12 to 15 minutes.  Turn off the heat and allow to steep, 8 minutes.  Serve.

Etsy Store Time At Petite Maison 770

Hi everyone, Well its that time again Etsy store time at my shop Petite Maison 770. I was up last night and decided to take pics and upload them to my shop (I've been waiting to do this for a couple of week, but its the same thing as you keep hitting the snooze button, good intentions). Anyway here are the good things at the shop.
One ram's head Wedgewood bowl...
One very cute pink vintage dresser set, oh did I mention very cute.....

Yellow glass sugar and creamer, Yum!!!

A 1941 oil can, come on wouldn't some roses look great in here (I know some of you love rusty crusty).

A pair of porcelain cherubs, I really had a hard time parting with these.

An Italian candleholder, even though its Italian, I still feel it could be French, or maybe even Shabby Chic....

Last but not least is a gold vintage female figure. I think she was spray painted, I can't tell exactly. She is metal and has a great French attitude.
Go check them out at http://www.etsy.com/shop/petitemaison770 and my French style pillows (more pillow styles to come soon, I know as soon as I take the pics).
See everyone next time.......

balada jenuh mengeluh

Hai hai hai...
Hari Kamis!

Dan gue terkurung kebosanan. Hmm.

Huh.
Tapi gue butuh refreshing!

Refreshing!
Bukan kerja di luar kantor.
Refreshing!
Benar-benar hari yang lengang dan santai.

Gue butuh inspirasi.
Haduuuh.
*kesel sendiri*

Gue mumet banget, bawaannya enggak semangat.

Ya Tuhan, mood merajai lagi, gimana nih?
Enggak kebantu oleh makanan.
Juga enggak lewat musik.
What should i do?

Its like disturbing all of me.
Huh.
enggak bisa menulis dengan baik, enggak bisa menemukan ide yang segar, enggak bisa bebas menyanyi.

Pusing. mumet.
Hueeeeks.
Ngeluh aja deh maunya hari ini.

Ada ide untuk menghapus kejenuhan tersangkar ini?
Gimme gimme gimme!
