Fried Banana (Pisang Goreng)
5 medium bananas
1 cup (160 g) rice flour
2/3 cup (150 ml) water
½ tspn sea salt
Oil for frying
Place rice flour in deep mixing bowl. Make a well in middle of the flour, and add water and salt. Whisk vigorously until batter is evenly smooth for coating and not too thin (if too thin, add more rice flour).
Peel bananas and cut in half length wise. Dip into batter to coat generously. Heat oil in wok or deep fryer until moderately hot. Add bananas and fry slowly until golden brown and crispy.
Slow frying technique used in this recipe ensures that the bananas remain crisp after cooking, so this will take about 15 minute. Remove bananas from oil, drain on paper napkins and dry well.

Spring is in the air!
Today and tomorrow are the first days we have had in the 70's here in Ohio! I am very excited; definitely ready for spring! I took down the last of the winter decorations today and added some spring decorations to the outside and the house.
My tulips are about ready to bloom!
Buds coming out on the flowering tree in my front yard.
Jadis enjoying the windows open in the house!
A new spring wreath I bought for the mud room.
New decor I bought for in front of the TV.

Q: What Do You Call A Participant In A Two-Sided Contest That Is Not On Either Side?
A: A referee.
We're not trying to depose Gadaffi*, we're not trying to help him stay in power, we're not trying to help the rebels and we're not concerned with what the place looks like if they win. All we want is to see that the game is played cleanly.
From 20,000'.
With the participants practically indistinguishable from the air.
With civilians being hard to identify when lots and lots of them are armed and shooting.
This is the perfect mission for the Obama Administration. We keep our hands clean, we don't really get involved, we pass moral judgment on both sides, but we exhibit no understanding at all about how things actually work.
You shot up the hospital! That was a clear foul! Airstrike time!

Italian Lemon Ice
I find it best to start this process in the morning before serving for dessert at dinner—just to make sure the mixture freezes sufficiently. It is the perfect dessert after a heavy meal or anytime during the summer. Light and refreshing.
1½ cups water
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon finely grated fresh lemon zest
1 cup fresh lemon juice
Pinch of salt
1. Bring the water and sugar to a boil in a 1-quart heavy saucepan, stirring until the sugar has dissolved.
2. Remove from the heat and stir in the zest, juice, and salt.
3. Transfer to a metal bowl and cool the syrup to room temperature. Refrigerate the syrup for at least one hour.
OR
If you are in a rush, as I usually am, you can put the bowl containing the mixture into a larger bowl filled with ice to cool it down quicker.
4. Freeze the syrup in an ice cream maker.
OR what I usually do
Line an 8 x 8 metal pan with plastic wrap and pour the cooled mixture into it. Place it in the freezer of your refrigerator. Periodically, pull the pan out of the freezer (two or three times) and stir the mixture to break up the ice crystals.
5. Transfer to an air-tight container and freeze until firm, about two hours. Remove from the freezer about 5 minutes before serving.
Makes about 1 quart

tauladan - guru, murid, buku latihan.
citer dier camni..
dlm satu klas.. ader sorg chegu dan 40 org anak murid.. satu hari ni, chegu tu masuk klas dan dier bawak skali sbyk 40 bungkus hadiah ntok dier bg kat kesemua anak2 murid dier.. hadiah tuh berupa sebuah buku tulis kosong.. dier pun bg la kat kesemua anak murid dier.. tp ader sesetengah dari anak2 murid dier x puas hati sbb, ketebalan buku2 tulis tuh x sama.. so yg dapat buku nipis rasa frust, yg dapat buku tebal, mstla rasa sonok kan.. dan anak2 murid dier rasa chegu tuh x adil sbb x bg sama rata.. so lpas chegu tuh dh bg smua buku2 tuh kat anak murid dier.. chegu tuh pun tetapkan 1 syarat.. pe syarat dier? syarat dier.. kesemua anak murid dier kna tulis karangan berdasarkan jumlah ketebalan buku masing2.. so terkejutlah kan anak2 murid dier yg dapat bku tebal tadi, sbb dorg kna tulis karangan lagi byk dr budak2 yg dapat buku tulis nipis tuh... jd mengomel la smua budak2 dlm klas tu.. lbey2 lagi budak2 yg dapat buku tebal tuh.. baru la dorg rs nyesal lak dapat buku tebal tuh.. bek dorg dpt buku nipis.. xde la byk keje kan..
so aper moral of the story?
Dia bg rezeki kat hambanya x sama.. ader yg Dia lebihkan sket, ader jugak yg Dia kurang kan..dan biasanya, org yg dpt rezeki lebih nih.. dugaan dier pun lbey.. sbb Dia turunkan ujian kat kita "title as hamba" ni sbb dier nk tau sape antara kita yg btol2 bertakwa, sbb in the end of the day nnt.. hamba yg paling rapat ngn dier 4 sure la mereka yg bertakwa kan..
amik contoh ct/mawi ke.. sonok kan kalo kiter dpt life cam dorg, bole bli kete bsar, umah bsar, melancong sanasini.. tp adakah dorg2 yg kaya raya/yg bijak pandai/yg fames memes =p ni mmp nk tahan dugaan/ ujian yg Dia bg.. kna tomahan, pastu kta pn xtau rezeki yg kta dpt tuh halal/berkat ke x.. kan.. so jgn la underestimate diri sindri, bersyukur dgn kurniaan yg Dia berikan.. sbb jnj Allah itu pasti..
rezeki Allah itu dimana-mana, kite yg memilih, kita pun yg menntukn jalan. tp destinasi terakhir ttp di tgn tuhan..
