Nyuen Shiki - upacara masuk SD

8 April 2010, kamis

Trus apalagi dah..
Mei dapet kelas 1-3 {ichi nen sei,3 gumi}, gurunya namanya Nagaii Keiko sensei. Jumlah murid 31 orang.

Three Berry Pie

Last night I attempted to make a pie. I used a frozen pie shell because I did not feel like making the crust. It was a three berry pie. Here is the recipe.
1 cup fresh strawberries, halved
1/2 cup white sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
2 cups raspberries
1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
Directions:
  1. In a large mixing bowl, stir together sugar and cornstarch. Add strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries; gently toss until berries are coated. When using frozen fruit allow fruit mixture to stand for 15 to 30 minutes, or until fruit is partially thawed.
  2. Line a 9 inch pie plate with half of the pastry. Stir berry mixture, and transfer to the crust lined pie plate. Top with second crust, and seal and crimp the edge. To prevent overbrowning, cover the edge of the pie with foil.
  3. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 25 minutes when using fresh fruit, 50 minutes for frozen fruit. Remove foil. Bake for an additional 20 to 30 minutes, or until the top is golden. Cool on a wire rack.
Here is a picture of it before I put it in the oven. I forgot to take one after it came out, but I think it looked better before anyways. I used frozen fruit, which I even drained, but it was really runny when it came out. I also added more cornstarch. I think I will try it again with fresh fruit, and then let it cool over night before cutting it.
At least David still liked it! :)

Jamie's Food Revolution USA

Hi everyone from the land of Mickey D's!

I am here to help my idol Jamie Oliver to make each US citizen be aware of his campaign: Jamie's Food Revolution. He is currently gathering people from United States to sign the petition. So anyone who drops by at my blog and happens to be a US citizen, be aware and have your concern about the growing number of obesity in United States. Your sign counts, so sign his petition now. Act now because tomorrow might be too late!

I don't know why but I want an Union Jack...

These days I don't know why, but I'm thinkins so seriously about leaving Spain in the next few months and moving into UK, Germany or Sweden... well, I know that I would end my days on Sweden, but the other two countries are beating so deep in my heart... specially the UK, just because I can't stop listening to The Who and think about that gorgeous Union Jack jacket...

Or the Big Ben...

Or the Mods...

Seriously, I can't stop listening to The Who and some other great (and well dressed bands) as The Kinks...

The Rolling Stones...

Or The Small Faces...

I'm obsessed with the 60s and the well dressed men!

And you? Wich one is your current obsession?
