An English country wedding
What a treat to see Sara and Kash get married!!! This gorgeous couple tied the knot outside a cute-as-a-button cricket club in Shenley, England.
After the ceremony (and much admiring of the brides vintage dress) guests headed into the bunting-decked tent for pie and mash, judging the bake-off and tea served from flowery china cups (which Sara had painstakingly collected over the year: over a 100 in all).
Then it was games galore (tug of war, egg and spoon and sack races) on the lawns - when thankfully the sun peeped out for an hour. Before Luke and Daniel (AKA Unspoken Promises) took to the stage and we all danced till the sun went down (drinking dark n'stormy cocktails) before being sent home with with bagel sandwiches at midnight. The perfect day!

Deus Ex Human Revolution (Highly Compressed) - Mediafire
DeusEx | PC Game | Genres: Action | {385MB}
Deus Ex is a game of mystery, story, and freedom set in a world in which every conspiracy theory is true. From the Illuminati to the Knights Templar to even the Rosicrucians, the world of Deus Ex is a place about which Robert Anton Wilson has written. It's a place where Fox Mulder would be right at home, and it's safe to say that we're all happy he isn't. Deus Ex is an exclusively single-player first-person game. You play the role of Agent J.C. Denton, a biomechanically enhanced and upgradeable operative of UNATCO, a peacekeeping force. After just your first day on the job you find that things are not quite right at UNATCO and defect to the resistance. I wouldn't dare reveal too much of the plot, but the central issue involves a man-made nanovirus, the "Gray Death," the cure, Ambrosia, and some FEMA hijinks straight out of the X-Files movie.
The game is designed primarily with the principals of choice and cause & effect in mind. You are able to choose which skills and augmentations (special abilities) to specialize and advance in as the game goes on. Do you want to be a shadowy, sneaking sniper who hacks computers and disables security systems? Do you want to be the quiet thief who picks locks and slips in the back way? Do you want to be Arnold and face the oncoming rush head on with a rocket launcher and a "born to kill" attitude? You can make Denton whatever you want him to be, and the game is set up so that whatever path or paths you choose, there will always be a way most suited to your talents.
While the story is complicated, deep, and also adhered to the cause & effect principle - you only encounter plot points or conversations that you 'choose' to run into, and the game never refers to something that you didn't encounter but will to things that you did, even if they are off the beaten path - it's curiously devoid of humanity. Your brother gets killed and you shrug and say something in your usual deadpan. This is somewhat understandable; since you are half-machine, the human in you can't even come out at key points. Still, it's disconcerting.
As good as the gameplay is, there is never any meaty feeling of danger that usually makes this sort of game fun. In System Shock you were made to feel as a confused, manipulated, terrified human, but in Deus Ex you are an impassive machine. Who cares if The Terminator gets it? There's always a replacement model. Who cares if the world gets the "Gray Death?" They seem like a bunch of sneaky bastards anyway. Finally, there just isn't a villain as hellishly evil as System Shock's SHODAN to give you something concrete to oppose.

Tapsilog
I have been craving for tapsilog ever since I saw on tv the feature they had on the best tapsilog in Metro Manila. Mariger said I should try the tapa flakes of Tapa King, she also likes Maty's. Marianne prefers Rodic's in U.P. Diliman.
I went to my favorite store today, Debenhams because it is the first day of the Blue Cross sale. I get most of my clothes from there because they have big sizes... well if you call sizes 12-14 big. I was very happy and went home with lots of loot! Across Shangrila is EDSA Central market. I remember the Mom of Mayette would always buy tapa from the market, if I am not mistaken from Villarubio's Meat.
I bought half a kilo to try. As soon as I got home, I instructed Hermie to measure 125 grams of beef tapa and put in freezer bags so when I want to cook I do not have to defrost the whole batch.
It is my kind of tapa!!!
It is more salty than sweet and the meat was tender, not like beef jerky. Maybe it was the way I cooked it?
I cut the meat across the grain into strips. Heat the frying pan until smoking, poured cooking oil, let it heat for a while. I used a spatula to move around the tapa strips until done. Not overcooked because meat will still cook for a while even if you remove it from the flame. I already know how to cook fried egg, not as pretty but .... it tasted good just the same.
Tapsilog craving? No more!!!!

QUICK N SPICY TOMATO CHUTNEY
Here's a quick n spicy tomato chutney recipe, which you can whip up in 15-20 minutes with only 3-4 ingredients to serve with any good South Indian snack:
Ingredients:
Tomatoes..... 5
Green/Red Chillies...: 8-10 if less hot, 2-3 more if u need spicier
Salt to taste
Garlic..... 2-3 pods (optional)
Method:
1. Heat 4 tbsp oil in a pan, add split chillies and fry for a minute.
2. Add sliced tomatoes & garlic pods and mix well. Fry until the entire water content of tomatoes disappears... the quantity almost halves at this stage. Keep stirring in between. The process takes about 15 mins.
3. Add salt.
4. Remove from fire and let it cool.
5. Grind in a mixer to a fine paste.
Note: At no stage is any amount of water added in the recipe... not even while grinding. Some people prefer this chutney as coarsely ground. This chutney tastes well with plain steamed rice, appams, dosas and idlis.
(This has no tempering of any sort.)
