countdown to my 20th birthday!

Lilypie First Birthday tickers

Oh, my age is going to about 1/5 century soon :)
It looks like mature for a girl, but I realized that the way I act just like a teenager as usual..
This birthday, I wish to celebrate it at my hometown, Palopo because my bday later is on the midterm break.
Oh, I really cant go back and leave a bunch of tasks here.
I wish to celebrate it in my mom's new hotel because she just upgraded it.
I wish all of my family sing the Happy Birthday song for me and a lot of hotel's staff as well.
I wish my mum cook for me on my birthday like my 18th birthday.
I wish to eat my mum's cook on my bday. I miss her cooking a lot. :(
But thats just a dream. :|

I will not go anywhere at all.
I will just stuck here like last year.

But this year is better, I might celebrate it with a lot of friends. Not like last year, only three of us. So sad. :|
But actually Lavinia and Tecla bought me a cake that day. And they accompany me to go around. Another thing, my housemates in Sun-U Residence give gift, a necklace. All credit goes to Lavinia, Tecla, Niyo, and Nadia on my 19th bday.

Passport, i bought the ticket to go Spore with Indy on my birthday. But, ISO sent me reminder to submit my passport because my visa will going to expiry less than two month. =(
So how about my ticket? Is it going to 'terbakar'? =(

This birthday i will not hope for much. I just want i feel happy in my birthday. I hope I'm not crying like last year because i was so lonely. I will not ask anything to mom even though I really want her to buy me I-touch or Blackberry. *hopeful*
But i dont think so, because this lately I wasted a lot of money. =|

Ah whatever...
I will turning 20 soon! =)

mom, i'm sick.. :'(

high fever..
headache..
lack of sleep..
its tuesday, why should sick in tuesday?
im about to skip 6 classes today..

i need my mum now.. =(

happy sunday with indy & ivy ♥♥

This weekend, Sunday 25th April 2010 I went to Sunway Pyramid with Indy and Ivy.
Sunway Pyramid?
I think that just the only mall I accredited in Malaysia :P
Why? Because its nearby, the place is nice. Its strategic. Haha.. [another reason is i dont want to waste my money for the spending of transport to go to another mall which is far far away from my house =P]

I came with Indy earlier than Ivy.
I went to TGV Cinema, to buy ticket for the newest movie The Losers. When queueing, I saw the announcement on the screen that "Iron Man 2 tickets are available for advanced purchase"
I tell Indry straightly! Bcs we planned to watch that since few weeks ago! So heal after buy the ticket. No need to queue next week ;)

the Iron Man 2 ticket for 1st showing on
29th April 2010

Then first I went to maxis with Indy to pay my broadband bill while waiting for Ivy. Thats why they banned my broadband bcs i havent pay for two months! LOL. Total the bill is RM260 O_o
I realized that one of my CC will be overlimit soon. =__="

After met with Ivy then we go watch the Movie!
The Losers's Movie Poster

The movie is quite nice and funny. Is a merge between thriller and comedy. One the most unaccepted scene i saw from this movie is when Wade jump up from the motorcycle and go to the plane concord. Walao! haha thats funny. Quite nonsense eventhough its scary because the plane is exploded.

Next.. Dinner!
As always we went to Nando's! One of favorite restaurant! Hihi.
And guess what I ordered..

1/4 chicken [hot peri peri] 2 sidelines mediteranian rice+peri chips
My dinner are just sooo nice! Hahaha.. *full*

After eat, then we are ready to go back, so we go to Sunway Tower Hotel to wait for the Sunway Shuttle Bus. *long time didnt use bus*
While waiting, we go narsis by taking picture. haha.

ivy-anty-indy

Peanut Butter and Apple Sandwiches

If you are looking for a healthy sandwich to put in kids' lunchboxes. This recipe from Williams Sonoma is a great one!! (This makes 1 sandwich, so be sure to make more if you are needing more sandwiches)

2 Tbsp whipped plain cream cheese
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp honey
1 granny smith or your favorite apple
2 Tbsp Peanut Butter
2 slices of Bread

Put the cream cheese, honey and vanilla extract in a bowl. Stir to combine. Spread Peanut butter on one slice of bread, and the cream cheese mixture on the other. Place slices of apple (that has been cored) on the cream cheese mixure and top with the slice of bread with peanut butter.

Turkey Meatloaf with Feta & Sun-Dried Tomatoes

Meatloaf is an ultimate comfort food, especially with mashed potatoes and gravy.  In that way, it can be a heavy, rib-sticking meal.  It doesn't have to be that way with a turkey meatloaf.  However, new recipes are needed to make turkey meatloaf interesting.  Many times that means additional herbs.  This recipe from Giada's Giada at Home uses sun-dried tomatoes and feta cheese to impart a tangy brightness to the meat loaf.  The result is a healthier meatloaf that can fit into a spring or summer meal both in color and taste.  Serves 4.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/3 cup flat parsley leaves, chopped
1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 large eggs, beaten
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1 lb ground turkey meat

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.  In a large bowl, mix the bread crumbs, parsley, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, eggs, olive oil, feta, salt and pepper.  Add the turkey and combine, ideally mixing with your hands.  Form the mixture into a ball-loaf and put in a loaf pan or on a cookie sheet with sides.  Bake until the internal temperature registers 165 degrees F, or approximately 45 minutes.  Slice and serve.

Steak, Rocket and Red Onion Sandwich with Real Chips

Steak Rocket and Red Onion Sandwich with Real Chips

A steak sandwich is very often served on its own, either as a lunch dish, or perhaps even as an impromptu snack. Equally, however, a steak sandwich can make an excellent dinner when served in this fashion with real chips and does not take overly long to prepare. Also, when making a steak sandwich such as this, it is the cheapest cut of steak which should be used and nothing as elaborate as fillet or sirloin.

The recipe for making the chips which accompnay the steak can be found on several locations on this blog or simply by clicking here. I will therefore provide below instructions only for cooking the steak sandwich.

Ingredients (Serves Two, along with the Chips)

1/2lb slice of steak (often sold as sandwich steak)
12" French style stick loaf
1/2 red onion
Generous handful of fresh rocket leaves
2 tbsp horseradish sauce
A little sunflower oil for frying

Method

Although using a steak mallet would be akin to sacrilege on a piece of quality steak, tougher and cheaper cuts of steak which we are going to use for making sandwiches can well do with a bit of a beating prior to cooking. The fibres in the flesh are much tougher than in quality cuts of steak and even proper cooking and resting procedures can do with a little assistance in breaking them down. A reasonable amount of force (don't overdo it!) should therefore be used to pound the steak evenly across its entire surface.

A little sunflower oil should then be added to a non-stick frying pan and brought up to a very high heat. The steak of course can also be grilled or griddled, in which case it should be the steak which is lightly oiled. The steak should then be fried - depending upon its thickness - for around a couple of minutes each side.

While the steak is cooking, the bread stick should be halved in two horizontally and the horseradish sauce spread evenly over each half. The rocket leaves should then be added to the bottom half of the roll.

When the steak is cooked, it should be removed from the pan, set on a warmed plate and covered with foil to rest for a couple of minutes. The red onion should then be sliced and the pieces quickly fried in the juices of the steak.

The rested steak should be cut to size as required and the pieces placed atop the rocket leaves, with the hot onions added last of all. The top may then be added to the bread, pressed down firmly and sliced in half to be served with the hot chips.
