Aloo Gobhi ka Pulao Recipe
Ingredients- 2 cups long grained rice (basmati)
- 2 tsp oil
- 2 bayleaves (tejpatta)
- 25 mm. (1") piece of cinnamon (dalchini)
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
- 1/4 tsp dried ginger (soonth) powder
- 1/2 tsp chilli powder
- 1 cup potato cubes
- 1 cup cauliflower florets
- salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- few mint sprigs , for the garnish
Methods- Clean, wash and soak rice for about. 15 minutes. Drain and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add bayleaves and cinnamon and fry for a few seconds.
- 2 minutes turmeric powder, dry ginger powder, chili powder, add potatoes and cabbage and sauté.
- Add rice and sauté for 2 minutes more.
- Two whistles to the hot water and add 3 cups of salt and pressure cook.
- Before opening the lid to let steam escape.
- Add garam masala and mix gently.
- Serve hot with mint sprigs garnished.
