Aloo – Beet Paratha Recipe

Ingredients
  • Ingredients for the dough
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
  • salt to taste
  • water as required
  • For the stuffing
  • 1/2 cup boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 1/2 cup boiled and mashed beetroot
  • 1 tsp black pepper (kalimirch) powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) powder
  • 1 tbsp grated coconut
  • salt to taste



Method

  • Sieve flour with salt, add enough water to make dough.
  • Knead the dough well and divide into small balls.
  • Small thin rounds of dough in flour to help roll out each part.
  • Spread a little filling on one round, another round and well covered in the press.
  • Shallow fry on a hot griddle.
  • Repeat for the remaining rounds and showers.
  • Serve hot
