Tennessee Vacation Pt. 2

On Tuesday, we went for a morning bike ride and then caving!

Our coordinating outfits that we bought on our shopping trip on Sunday! :)

My pictures didn't turn out so great in the cave, but this is one that sort of did. It was really  neat though. The tour took about 1 hour.

When we got home, the guys started in on trying to get us to make cinnamon rolls. Finally, Sarah and I decided to appease them. :)

They did turn out very yummy! And the guys were happy in the end too! :)

Tennessee Vacation Pt. 1.

Tennessee Vacation Pt.1

A week ago today, David and I headed down to Tennessee to visit some dear friends of ours, Sarah and Mike. Sarah blogs over at Sarah's  Heart's Home as well! We hadn't seen each since Christmas time, so everyone was very excited to spend a few days together!

We arrived on Sunday afternoon and started vacation off with Sarah and I leaving the guys with the children and going on a 2 hour shopping trip! :) We found out when we got back that the guys and kids ended up having a water balloon fight and David, of course, was targeted the pretty soaked! Wish I could have seen it, haha! It sounded like everyone had a good time. Of course, the guys were pretty anxious for us for return after about 1 hour, lol!

On Monday, Grandma came over to watch the kids while the adults when on a train ride and white water rafting! I must say, I was pretty nervous about the white water rafting part; I had never done it before! It ended up being a blast! Now for some pictures...

This is the train that we rode on for about 3 hours, before being dropped off at the white water rafting site. We sat in an open car, which was great! A nice breeze and pretty views!
We passed this beautiful lake on our way; it was huge! And there were house boats everywhere on it. So pretty!

David, me, Sarah, and Mike enjoying the ride!
This is the river that we went white water rafting on. Like I said earlier, I was pretty nervous; Sarah and I both asked to wear helmets, haha. But it ended up being great and we all had a blast. You can go see pictures of us on the raft by clicking this link.

Overall, it was a very fun filled and wonderful day! We ended up getting back home around 9pm! Everyone was very tired, including the kids because they waited up for us! haha

Happy New Year! *and resolutions*

It is hard to believe that it is a new year already! This past year has been a good one for me. Some of the highlights were:

* Growing my blog (Thanks for all your support!)
* Going to full time at my new job in the schools!
* A wonderful vacation to Colorado this summer with the hubby
* Starting an Adventurer club at our church
* Working with the social committee at church (which included hosting 2 baby showers, 2 going away parties, a fall camp-out, a Holiday dinner, and helping the Personal Ministries group with a health fair).
* Starting my Pampered Chef business (which has been a lot of fun and a lot of re-organizing my kitchen to fit all the awesome products).
*And most importantly, our 4 year wedding anniversary! Love you dearest! :)

There have been some challenges too. My husband decided to go back to school and then switched between 3 schools before he decided to do an online program. I am a planner and so the uncertainty of the future was hard for me! Another struggle for me this year has been dealing with the baby bug. :) Yes, it has hit me pretty hard! All my friends around me having babies made it a lot harder as well. However, after long discussions and praying and lots of tears, 2011 is going to hopefully be an exciting year for us! :)

So for this coming year there are two main things that I am hoping to work on.

* Reading more (see my book list on the left side of my blog; this also includes better devotion time)
*Getting healthier (I have already gone mostly vegetarian again at home, hoping to lose 15lbs. this year. I have gained around 13lbs since we got married 4 years ago. Being only 5 foot 3, that tends to show a little too much on me. :( And since we want to start a family hopefully this year, I want to lose that prior to gaining more!)

I hope that this new year will be even better than the last to you! God bless you in the year to come!

So our final day at Murcia arrived, but we spent almost all the day taking silly pictures of us doing the "Yakuza and Yankee style"... so funny!

Seriously, it's been a gorgeous trip, we met lots of great people and had so much fun... I miss everyone there!

Oh God, I'm a little bit stressed about next week. I'm having a photosession with 3 models and I'm still searching for a job... and the damn Christmas are coming!!! Wouldn't anyone give a job for this time of the year??? Argh!!

But today's raining at Barcelona, and you know how much I love rain... so I'm in a good and positive mood anyway ;)!

Have a gorgeous saturday!
