Here are a few snaps from our weekend at gorgeous Catskills getaway
Audrey's Farmhouse. Its famously dog friendly (every one of the couples staying in the other four antique-laden bedrooms had bought their pup). So little Mike came along too and was soon at right at home lying by the fireplace and poking around the manicured lawns behind the house.

Originally built in 1740 Audrey's Farmhouse is full of character |
|
Mike felt right at home in the snug rug-lined living room |
|
The hammock is spectacularly comfy (and just a stones throw from the swimming pool) |
|
You'll always find home-made cakes in the kitchen (the lemon drizzle particularly fabulous!) |
|
The suite room comes with a big roll top bath |
|
When I managed to prise myself away from the hammock (so comfortable!). We went adventuring to stunning Minnewaska State Park (where you can dip in the icy lake waters and explore over 25 miles of tree-lined pathways). Then hungry for supper headed to one of the many local farmers markets to stock up (guests are free to use the B&B's cosy, well-equipped kitchen).

ice cream pit stop |
Then as we all wended our way back to Brooklyn whiled away a few hours in beautiful Beacon for incredible burgers in the sunny backyard of
Poppy Burger, and a whistle-stop bicycle taxi tour of town courtesy of Johnathon, owner of super-cool bike shop
Peoples Bicycle.PS. Doubles at Audrey's Farm House start at $135 a night
