How many of us stop to consider our sex life as something that naturally evolves — much like our minds, bodies and personalities. Best-selling author and leading sex therapist, Pamela Stephenson-Connolly, takes us on a journey in arguably the most comprehensive book ever published in this category.
‘Rather than writing a “how to” book, I actually wanted to tell the story of people’s sex lives from cradle to grave through the testimonies of a variety of different people who lived through each decade,’ explains Pamela. ‘They have been remarkably frank about their sexuality and I think that illustrates the sexual journey far better than if I had tried to describe it as a sexologist.’
‘Each and every single testimony was utterly fascinating, and contributed to overwhelming evidence that we are sexual beings from even before we are born til the day we die.’
Drawing from cutting-edge research and the latest findings Pamela shows us how this journey starts before we’re even born, with babies in the womb now being photographed with tiny erections. It continues through our early childhood experiences, puberty and adolescence, early adulthood, parenthood, right up to our eighties and beyond.
An utterly fascinating and insightful look at people’s sex lives through the generations
