Aloha! On arriving here in Hawai'i (as it is written here) we found there are certain traditions when one visits Grandpa Phil. Going to the zoo is one of them. It was great! The zoo is located right across the street from our hotel.
Banyon tree....isn't it soooo cool!Love these trees!
There were carvings all over this tree, we thought the looks of this language was so interesting. Our disclaimer is that we have no idea what it says...so if you can read it let us know!
The colors of the trunk of these trees are absolutely amazing!
Isn't this sign funny? And aren't there days we could all use it posted on us for all to see?
The beautiful and fragrant plumeria
I think this one is used to modeling!
Our Grandpa Phil...who we like very much.
Papaya trees
Sausage tree...very "out of this world" looking
Grandpa and me
Three Dahlbys
Dad and Grandpa
Three suspicious looking characters
The Hawaiian language uses lots of vowels, Sage wants to learn words to use in Scrabble. I think it is lovely written, and this is a thought to ponder.
Do you see the creature sitting on top of this one?
We very much enjoyed our trip to the Honolulu Zoo...both the animals and the plants.
Sage is waiting for me to finish so we can go across the street and jump in the ocean.
