Okie Snow

This weekend the skies opened up and showered down zillions and gillions of delightful ornate art crystals - ice covered dust particles, also known as snowflakes - upon our dull winter landscape and transformed it into a frosty wonderland.

The Will Rogers Airport reported 14 inches, which is a record breaker for central Oklahoma, but it was hard to measure accurately. It was super windy, so there were drifts 2 feet high in places and just a dusting in others.

Whatever the inches, we made a snowman with it! May I introduce you too...

Snowman 2009!

When Jeremy does something...he really does it. So, it took the tractor to lift the head and the middle ball on to the base.

Then we packed snow in all the cracks. And tried to cover up the dirt and leaves that got rolled into the snow. :P

That's a 5 gallon bucket for the hat...and it's not quite big enough to warm his ears. Jeremy found a piece of rebar for a smile and a soccer goal cone for his nose. It doesn't look very big on him, but maybe this picture will put it in perspective -
